I couldn't believe this. Literally in the middle of Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, near Harrod's, a coffee shop, probably dating back to the 1930's.
This is one of London's "red routes", meaning no stopping, ever, for any reason. But drivers do stop, run out across three lanes of traffic, buy their coffee and a sandwich through the half-door you see in the picture, run back to the curb, and drive on.
Only the English do this sort of thing.
