I hadn't gone far up the road before there were flashing blue and red lights behind me and I was signalled to pull over by a tough looking coppuh from the

"You realize this is  a serious offence,  don't you, cycling on a motorway!!     Where exactly did you think you were going??" he bellowed, pulling out his summons pad.

"london?" I replied.
Hmmm. Second thoughts.
   
Said "Well, you're not going to London on this road."
" Tell you what. I'll hand you over to the local bloaks and they can get you out of this".
A few minutes later the North Surrey Constabulary drew up behind, like THIS
    

and we headed on up the road, Velo, Ramorgue and myself
under escort (but not in chains) at 12kph ,
towards London, like THIS
