June 18 Cussay. L'Auberge du Pont Neuf [Inn at the New Bridge]. After leaving Chenonceaux I had ridden til 6:30 to the town of Ligueil, which advertised two hotels. Both seemed to be closed, but I spent an hour trying to find out what was going on. Sure enough, they weren't going to open tonight; maybe tomorrow. So I rode on into the evening. Ten km further down the road I found a really nice auberge at Cussay. |
