Approaching
the village of Rouffiac, between Chillac and Riberac. The '...ac' on
the end of a placename means that in Gallo-Roman times [ in Frant's you
say
"Gallo -Roman", not "Roman" ] this was the
site of a villa and agricultural
estate. This one was the property of someone named Rouffi.
The
cemetary beyond the edge of town characteristic of all these villages. |
