June 15 On the terrace at Blois. Across the square from the Chateau is the 'Maison de la Magie', home of Jean-Eugène Robert-Houdin, the'father of modern illusion' and inspiration for the illusionist Harry Houdini. Once every hour the window shutters open and four dragons pop their heads out and perform a short, loud dance for the visitors in the square. |
