July 18 Mair Livingstone in her back garden on Park Avenue. I arrived at about 1:00PM We talked about family, of course, gardening, her long career as an epidemiologist, politics (also of course), and about her friendship with Rosalind Franklin, one of the co-discoverers of DNA. Also had a good look at some of Mair's latest sculptures. I didn't leave until 11:30 — just enough time to catch the last tube back to Earls' Court. |
