The walled city of Cacassonne. Inside the walls is entirely given over to tourist establishments — restaurants, hotels etc., — which pay for the massive costs of restoration and maintenance of the site.
I had supper at the Restaurant du Duc d'Oc. "Oc" is the name given to the region in the local dialect, Occitan, which is closely related to Catalonian.
