July 4 Looking back to Mazamet as I start the climb through the Montagne Noire. I really hadn't looked very hard at my map, otherwise I might have plotted around instead of over this stretch. 69km for the day (Castres to Carcassonne) 17km of it pushing, à pied [on foot] over the mountains. |
